Install a licen­se file

The CAN­touch comes not with full func­tion­a­li­ty. The pos­si­bi­li­ties are wide ran­ged and not all cus­to­mers need all func­tion­a­li­ty. So, for ins­tance, the bus sys­tem Device­N­et is not very com­mon in Euro­pe, but it is in Ame­ri­ca and Asia. So, every cus­to­mer can choo­se his prio­ri­ty and don’t have to pay for all whats pos­si­ble. Addi­tio­nal func­tions can be unlo­cked by buy­ing a licen­se. Befo­re you do that, you have the one-time pos­si­bi­li­ty to unlock and exten­si­ve­ly test all pos­si­ble licen­ses for a 30 days tri­al peri­od. So you will know, what you need and what not.

What you get after buy­ing one or more licen­ses is an indi­vi­du­al licen­se file for your device by email. You only have to copy this file into the root fol­der of the CAN­touch to unlock the new func­tion­a­li­ty. Of cour­se, you have to con­nect the device to your com­pu­ter, using a USB-cable and dis­con­nect it after you copied the file.
