CANvision Server – Use over a Network

CANvision can be used over the network. The computer connected to the CAN requires the license dongle with at least one license and a started CANvision server. The respective CAN interface must be explicitly shared and can then be found by other computers in the network.

Not only does the server establish the connection to the network, but it also enables communication with the CAN network via interfaces from different manufacturers. It is the connecting driver layer between the drivers of the interface manufacturers and the CANvision client windows. The server is therefore also a requirement for communication on a single workstation.
