Solar Racer prepares for World Championship title
The young engineers of the University of Delft want to bring a new world champion title to Holland with their new solar racer NunaX. They have already succeeded seven times. The race will take place from 13 to 20 October 2019 in Australia. 47 universities from all over the world compete against each other. The race track leads over 3000 km from Darwin in the north to Adelaide in the south of Down Under.
This year the team will be supported by the use of a CANtouch. Pieter Tolsma, one of the development engineers, uses the device to minimize the problems the teams had with the CAN in the past. During the race, he has the measuring device with him to be able to react quickly to any difficulties that may arise. The pictures show him taking measurements on a test track in Australia, where the individual parts are assembled and the drivers can practice.
The GEMAC wishes the team good luck and a new world champion title with NunaX!
